TutorPit.com was founded by Sarah (a teacher) and Brian (a lawyer). They saw the need for virtual lessons in a time where online learning should be an easy, cost effective and helpful resource for students. Sarah has a Master’s Degree in Literacy, is a certified ESE facilitator, has taught in the school system, worked as a private tutor for many years, and served as a reading and learning specialist for underprivileged children.
We sought to combine our passion for helping families and children along with an extensive background in technology and teaching. Children often find online tutoring more engaging than physical learning, given the available tools and technology. Students of all abilities benefit from tutoring to help them progress.
And then along came the Coronavirus, or COVID-19, which brought with it necessary “social distancing,” closing schools and resources. For how long that lasts, nobody knows.
TutorPit.com was born to address that very issue. With schools closed due to the Coronavirus and the risk of children falling behind, online tutoring and teaching allows children to continue to learn and hit the ground running when school resumes. And, the services can continue to ensure children are prepared to advance each year, with personalized study sessions. Now, students can learn online from the comfort of your home, office, or anywhere with an internet connection (even just cell phone service!).
